Meet Director
The Meet Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the swim meet, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. This includes managing the meet notice, coordinating with the Meet Referee, and volunteers, and addressing any issues that arise prior, during, and after the event.
Meet Entries Director
This individual manages swimmer registrations and entries. They handle all the paperwork and ensure that all participants are correctly registered for their events, allowing for a seamless experience both for the competitors and the organizing team.
Operational Risk Director
The Operational Risk Director focuses on safety and compliance. They identify potential risks associated with the meet, implement safety protocols, and ensure that all regulations are adhered to, thus safeguarding the well-being of athletes and spectators.
Meet Referee
The Meet Referee is the authority on all officiating decisions during the swim meet. They are responisble for putting togetehr the officiating staff for the entire meet. They enforce the rules of swimming, make final decisions on disqualifications, and ensure fairness throughout the event.
Deck Referee
Assisting the Meet Referee, the Deck Referee manages the competition area, oversees the officials on deck, and ensures that events are conducted in accordance with established protocols.
Administrative Referee
This official handles all the administrative tasks during the meet, such as record-keeping, processing disqualifications, and ensuring that results are finalized accurately for every event.
Starter
The Starter is responsible for beginning each race. They signal the swimmers to take their marks and start the race, ensuring that everything is in order before launching the competitors into the water.
Chief Judge
The Chief Judge oversees the overall officiating team, ensuring that all officials are performing their duties correctly and consistently throughout the meet.
Stroke & Turn Officials
These officials monitor the swimmers’ techniques and compliance with the rules during their races, ensuring that swimmers adhere to the correct strokes and turns as per the competition standards.
Administrative Officials
Administrative Officials handle logistical and organizational tasks, including managing results, communicating with coaches, and ensuring that all records are accurately maintained during the meet.
Official Apprenticeship Sessions
These sessions provide hands-on training for aspiring officials. Participants will learn the ins and outs of swim meet officiating under the guidance of experienced mentors, offering a valuable educational experience.
Meet Marshall
The Meet Marshall ensures that the venue is organized and that competitors are in the right place at the right time. They also maintain order and discipline among athletes, coaches, and spectators.
Event Announcer/Music DJ
This service provides a voice for the event, announcing race starts, results, and other important information to keep spectators informed and engaged. A DJ can also provide music to enhance the atmosphere of the meet.
